The Slimline 1 Clamping System is a low-profile clamping system designed for embroidering smaller, difficult-to-hoop items. A single lever opens, closes, and locks the clamp, and it automatically adjusts to different fabric thicknesses for a secure hold every time.

You will see two purchasing options available: Rail Mounted (Single-Head) or Tubular Mounted (Multi-Head). If you have a single-head machine, select the Rail Mounted (Single-Head) option. If you have a multi-head machine or prefer to have the clamp attached to the tubular hoop arms, select the Tubular Mounted (Multi-Head). Please note that the tubular mounting option is NOT available for Brother PR, Babylock, or Melco embroidery machines.

The Rail Mounted (Single-Head) option is $269.98 and includes the Slimline 1 chassis and your machine’s specific adapter bracket. The Tubular Mounted (Multi-Head) option is $299.96 and includes the Slimline 1 chassis, tubular adapter brackets, and your machine’s specific adapter arms. When you proceed to checkout, you’ll provide your machine type and model. For the tubular mount, we will need to also know your machine’s arm spacing. To find your arm spacing, measure from outside silver edge to outside silver edge of one of your existing plastic hoops. 

There are currently 11 available window sizes ranging from 2.5″ Round up to a rectangular 6.5″x5.5″ window. These windows are interchangeable with the Slimline 1 and are sold individually. Prices range from $97.99 to $128.99 per window, depending on the size selected.

    I purchased the Slimline 1 (chassis, 6.5×5.5, 4.5×4.5, and 2.5×4.5 windows). I find that there is a bit of a learning curve with many embroidery tools. This was not the case with the HoopTech system. I took my items out of the box, read the directions, watched a YouTube video on how to install (I’m a visual learner), installed the chassis and window, put my first item (a cosmetic bag) on the hoop, and the rest is history! The clamping system is easy to install, well made and easy to use. I called the company to ask a few questions prior to making my purchase and the woman I spoke with was very helpful.
